Cassaundra Person is a dedicated advocate for women’s empowerment and community restoration with over 20 years of distinguished service in the Virginia Department of Corrections. As a retired correctional officer and current Training and Development Coordinator, Cassaundra has built her career on integrity, leadership, and a profound commitment to supporting individuals in their journey toward recovery and transformation.
A graduate of Tidewater Community College, Virginia Beach Campus, Cassaundra has invested in continuous professional development through specialized instructor training, multiple certifications, and participation in numerous seminars and educational programs. This foundation of knowledge and expertise directly informs her work at Sisters Haven.
As a licensed minister with over a decade of spiritual leadership experience, Cassaundra brings compassion, faith, and hope to her ministry. Her personal journey is marked by resilience and a deep dedication to uplifting others—qualities that form the bedrock of Sisters Haven’s mission.
Driven by her passion to support clients in their recovery and help them rebuild their lives, Cassaundra established Sisters Haven to provide a safe, supportive space where women can access counseling, mentorship, job training, and holistic support. Under her visionary leadership, Sisters Haven is more than a nonprofit—it is a movement of hope, dignity, and second chances for every woman seeking transformation.
